Located on the Ohio River in Brilliant, Ohio, Cardinal Generating Station provides power to the 24 electric cooperatives serving Ohio, including Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC).

The 2018 Cardinal Plant tour will take place Sept. 12. This scenic, one-day trip to see your power plant up close and personal is free for members. The tour includes the bus trip, the plant tour, and lunch. We’ll stop for supper on the way back (cost not included).

The bus will depart from Northtowne Mall parking lot in Defiance the morning of the tour. Members signed up to attend will receive a complete itinerary.

There will be a considerable amount of walking, several flights of stairs to climb, and travel through some hot and dusty areas. Members with health concerns, those who require assistance walking, or those who cannot walk more than a half mile without resting should not take the tour.

The tour is only open to cooperative members who have not attended in the past. Space is limited. Please email or call 800-686-2357 to reserve your seat(s).
