Kankakee Valley REMC awards scholarships to local graduates

The Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Round Up Trust has awarded scholarships to six exceptional high school graduates whose parents or guardians participate in the Operation Round Up program.

Two $2,000 scholarships were presented to Savannah Swanson of South Central High School and Paige Hein of Washington Township High School. Four $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Hayden Hensler of Elkhart Christian Academy, Jianna Allport of Knox High School, Max Odom of Morgan Township High School, and Zoe Pressel of Tri-Township High School.

These students were selected based on their academic achievements, community involvement, and a written essay outlining a neighborhood or community improvement project. Their applications reflected a strong commitment to both education and service.
