The North Webster Mermaid Festival features a Queen of Lakes pageant, a Cutie King and Queen contest, and a Cutie Parade, offering over $30,000 in scholarships. Amusement rides, demolition derby, tasty food, vendors, and a big parade are also part of the festival. Free admission.
The 35th Annual Johnson County Antique Machinery Show

The Johnson County Antique Machinery Show showcases lesser-known classic tractors and equipment, along with gas- and oil-field engines. There will be an antique tractor pull on Friday, with an auction and farm tractor and semi pulls on Saturday. Other activities include a kids’ scavenger hunt, a parade, steam engines, sawmill demos, blacksmithing, a flea market, and food. Admission is $5.
