Communities come in all shapes and sizes. Some are formed by geography, others by shared interests or hobbies, and many now exist in virtual spaces. But no matter how theyre built, communities bring people together and create a true sense of belonging.

At BCREMC, we are deeply committed to our member-owners, and were proud you are part of our cooperative community. More than 30,000 cooperatives across the U.S. are celebrating National Co-op Month this October. Its a time to reflect on what makes co-ops unique and, more importantly, to celebrate the power of membership.

Electric cooperatives are not- for-profit utilities created by the very communities they serve. For BCREMC, our mission is to enrich the well-being of our members and our community in everything we do. Because we are locally owned and operated, were especially equipped to meet our members evolving energy needs while keeping your quality of life at the heart of our work.

Beyond providing electricity, our employees and directors are neighbors who live and work right here. Thats why were dedicated to supporting local economic development, youth programs and scholarships, charitable initiatives, and other projects that strengthen our community.

As we celebrate National Co-op Month and the power of membership, we invite you to join us for our Member Appreciation Day on Oct. 28 at our Deaver Road office. This drive-thru event is a chance to celebrate you, our valued members, and to give back through a community food drive.
