Honoring our veterans

During the holidays, we all stop to reflect on all that we’re grateful for, and this year is no exception. Steuben County REMC has been a proud supporter of the Honor Flight Northeast Indiana for several years now, providing keepsake photo albums for each veteran attending the flight. After wrapping up 2017, we are so thankful that we get to be a part of such an inspiring and heartfelt cause.

WWII veteran Richard Oatess is overcome with emotion as he was welcomed to Washington, D.C., by a crowd of hundreds of cheering, grateful supporters.

In 2017, we celebrated nearly 350 veterans from World War II, Korea and Vietnam, all of whom fought and sacrificed for our freedoms. Each of these brave men and women deserve the utmost respect, and we are proud and humbled to be a part of their commemoration.
