The new HCREMC facility will display the co-op’s name inside the building using letters that have been on the outside of the building since the early days.

What an exciting time! The new HCREMC facility at 3400 S. State Road 3, New Castle, is in the final stages of completion. It has been quite the process, but soon we will have a facility that will meet the needs of the cooperative for decades to come — one that allows the cooperative to operate more efficiently in one building instead of four and incorporates the rich history of the cooperative into the future.

Move-in will start in early February and will continue until all departments are up and operational at the new building. We anticipate a short period of time that members will be able to conduct business at either site as we migrate completely to the new headquarters. Keep an eye out for those dates. They will be announced very soon.

The board of directors held the very first board meeting at the new headquarters on Jan. 11. It was a very gratifying meeting as we hosted Hoosier Energy executives and celebrated becoming member-owners of Hoosier Energy nearly 33 years ago.

The REMC staff is working diligently to host an open house at the new headquarters in late March.  We look forward to hosting the membership and the community for a day of celebration and remembrance.

We look forward to serving you, the member-owners, from the new headquarters.
