LaGrange County REMC is led by members like you who listen and understand the community.

If you’ve been looking for a way to become more involved in the cooperative and, in turn, your community, now is the time to make your voice heard and pick up a petition to run for a seat on our board of directors.

At this year’s LaGrange County REMC Annual Meeting on June 8, members will have the opportunity to vote for individuals to represent them for the following districts:

District 5: The east two-thirds of Johnson Township, which includes sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35 and 36, and Milford Township, excluding sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and the northeast one-quarter, north one-half and southeast one-quarter of Section 12. Currently served by Shane Rasler.

District 6: The west one-third of Johnson Township, which includes sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30, 31 and 32, and part of Clearspring Township, which includes sections 25 and 36. Currently served by Jeff Brill.

District 7: This is the director-at-large, who can be from anywhere in the cooperative service area. Currently served by Roger Domer.

The board is composed of seven individuals who represent the membership in his or her respective districts. Directors set policy and guide the future direction of the cooperative.

Qualified members of LaGrange County REMC, who live in those districts up for election, may seek election by filing a petition with the signatures of 50 LaGrange County REMC members supporting the candidacy.

Petitions for election and other board information will be provided by the REMC. Completed petitions and biographical information must be returned to the REMC no later than April 8.

Qualified candidates will stand for election, with voting upon registration, at the annual meeting on Saturday, June 8, at the LaGrange County REMC headquarters.
