Amid inflation, energy prices are also subject to the domestic and global market pressures. We purchase the power that we distribute to you from Hoosier Energy.

Because of the increasing costs of wholesale power from Hoosier Energy, the tracker on your bill, effective Oct. 1, will be $0.006031 per kWh, making the total cost per kWh $0.115451 for residential members. This is a slight increase from last quarter.

This energy tracker, that adjusts quarterly, allows us to keep our base rates consistent, but still collect the money we owe for the fluctuating costs of purchased power from Hoosier Energy. There is no mark-up in the tracker. It is a pass-through cost from our power supplier to you and is based on the energy you use. See above for energy saving tips to help you save on your bill.
