Energy bike is a huge hit

Peter Niagu, PPEC’s energy advisor, had fun visiting Ottoville Elementary. The students got to ride the energy bike while learning about the energy use of a lightbulb. The demonstration shows them that it takes more energy to light an incandescent lightbulb than an LED bulb. Students also realized it takes more energy to power a hairdryer than any lightbulb.

Paulding Putnam EC encourages schools, community groups, and businesses to provide the show as a part of their educational activities to teach about energy use in our homes. Call Niagu at 800-686-2357 to schedule an energy bike demonstration.
