Employee spotlight: Welcome Alexandria Tompkins to the REMC

Accounting Specialist Alexandria Tompkins joined the Miami-Cass County REMC team on March 19. She is a student at Indiana Wesleyan and will receive her bachelor’s degree in accounting next month. 

Tompkins has been married to her high school sweetheart for nine years, and they have a five-year-old daughter. She and her family attend Abundant Life Church in Kokomo where she volunteers with the children’s ministry. She enjoys spending time with her family and also enjoys baking.

Prior to joining the REMC, Tompkins worked as a medical records clerk at an eye doctor’s office in Kokomo. 

When asked what she enjoys about working at Miami-Cass REMC, she said she enjoys being able to utilize the skills she has acquired in college and that it gives her a sense of accomplishment. Her primary responsibilities are completing fundamental accounting practices including data entry, accounts payable, and data tracking within accounting software and spreadsheets.
