As Marshall County REMC celebrates 90 years of service in 2026, we’re reflecting on the traditions that have connected us to our members and communities throughout the decades. Few traditions are as meaningful to us as our long-standing partnership with the Marshall County Fair.

Over the years, Marshall County REMC has proudly maintained a presence at the fair, welcoming members and visitors to our booth each summer. The fair provides a unique opportunity to connect with the people we serve, answer questions, share information, and celebrate the strong rural communities that make our cooperative special.

Our support of local youth through 4-H has been an important part of that commitment. For more than 40 years, we’ve provided milkshake tickets to 4-H participants as a small token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. We also sponsor numerous fair events and proudly purchase livestock from a 4-H exhibitor each year, supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders.

These traditions reflect the cooperative spirit that has guided Marshall County REMC since 1936. We are more than an electric cooperative — we are neighbors, partners, and supporters of the communities we serve. The Marshall County Fair allows us to celebrate those relationships while investing in the future of our area.

We invite everyone attending this year’s fair to stop by our booth and visit with our team. Be sure to join us for our popular Electric Safety Demonstration, where you will see firsthand the dangers of electricity and learn important safety practices. Demonstrations will be held on Wednesday, July 22, at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

As we celebrate 90 years of service, we’re grateful for the generations of members who have supported Marshall County REMC and helped make traditions like these possible. We look forward to seeing you at the fair.
