DISTRICT 3
Truitt Daeger

Truitt and his wife, Brianna, reside on 300 S in Greensburg with their children, Rhett, Addison, and Drew. He serves as Vice President of Construction Operations at T&H Construction Properties, LLC, where he has worked for four years. In this role, he oversees a team of more than 20 employees and leads construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, with high quality, and within schedule and budget. His responsibilities include contract negotiations ($1M-$65M), developing and implementing standard operating procedures, business development, team leadership, budget management, and technology implementation.
Truitt holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a member of St. Catherine of Siena and Salt Creek Investment Group.
Truitt is seeking to serve Decatur County REMC to bring his leadership experience and communication-focused approach to the cooperative. He aims to strengthen communication between the REMC and its members to promote greater understanding, alignment, and unity.
Steve Nobbe (INCUMBENT)

Steve and his wife, Julie, reside on East Base Road in Greensburg. They have five children: Rachel, Emma, Sophie, Claire, and Isabelle. A graduate of Greensburg High School, Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis, where he also played basketball for four years. He owns and operates a grain farming operation alongside his family.
Outside of farming and REMC service, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends. Family camping trips are a favorite past time. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Steve has been a member of Decatur County REMC for 26 years.
During his current term on the board, Steve earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director certification, supported the advancement of memberwide broadband, and advocated for reliable, affordable service. He currently serves as Board Secretary and is seeking another term to continue expanding broadband access and maintaining dependable service for REMC members.
DISTRICT 4
Steve AmRhein (INCUMBENT)

Steve and his wife Diane reside on South State Road 3. A graduate of the University of Indianapolis with a degree in mathematics, he spent the early part of his working career in the Information Technology field prior to becoming a math teacher. Now retired, he enjoys spending time on the family farm on which he was raised.
Steve is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Millhousen and the Greensburg Knights of Columbus. He has been a Decatur County REMC member for more than 25 years.
Elected to the Board of Directors in 2011, Steve is a Credentialed Cooperative Director through NRECA. He currently serves as Board Chairman and is a member of the Indiana Electric Cooperatives Association Board of Directors.
Steve looks forward to continuing to meet our changing power needs, all while aiding in developing new opportunities for delivering excellent service. He has supported the broadband initiative and implementation and appreciates the opportunities broadband brings to members. He believes it is important for members to be aware of services available through DCREMC and welcomes the opportunity to continuing serving and representing the members of DCREMC.
DISTRICT 7
Jason Barnhorst (INCUMBENT)

A fifth-generation Decatur County farmer and DCREMC member for more than 25 years, Jason is deeply rooted in this community. A graduate of Indiana University and a lifelong member of Smyrna Lutheran Church, Jason values the strength of the cooperative built by the members it serves. He represents DCREMC on the Hoosier Energy Board of Directors, where he currently serves as Treasurer.
Priorities:
• Broadband: Support continued fiber expansion to grant-funded areas so families and businesses can stay reliably connected.
• Affordability: Advocate for strong financial stewardship, including significant capital credit returns and efforts to limit rate impacts.
• Reliability: Champion initiatives that improve system reliability, such as Reliability 2.0, strong right-of-way management, and modernized technology infrastructure.
Qualifications:
• Education: First DCREMC director to earn all three National Rural Electric Cooperative Association accreditations.
• Experience: Steady, objective leadership across three board terms.
• Commitment: Dedicated to serving all members during a period of significant industry change, with active engagement at local, regional, and federal levels.
