Every month in this section, we’ll tell you where our maintenance and construction crews will be and what they will be doing.  

Right-Of-Way Maintenance

Contract tree trimming crews will continue trimming trees and overgrown vegetation in the following areas:

Porter County: Jackson, Pine, and Washington townships
Starke County: Center, Washington, California and North Bend townships

Pole Maintenance

KV REMC crews work year-round to maintain and improve the electrical distribution system.  As part of this maintenance our crews conduct regular pole inspections.  Member-consumers in the Hanna and Union Mills areas will see our crews replacing poles in their areas this month. 

Line Rebuilds

As part of our continuous commitment to service and safety, KV REMC crews and contract crews will be rebuilding sections of line in the following areas: 

• Morgan Township (Porter County):  Crews will be rebuilding three miles of single-phase line along 300 S. between 300 E. and 525 E.  
• Washington Township (Starke County): Crews will be rebuilding a mile and a half of line along 800 E. between 50 S. and 150 N.
