Dubois REC is pleased to invite you to its 2024 Annual Meeting on April 9 at the Huntingburg Event Center.

We look forward to seeing our members again and having an opportunity to update you on things that happened over the past year. We’ll also highlight some of the plans we have scheduled for the upcoming months.

The theme for this year’s meeting is “Cooperative Resiliency.” We’ll detail some of the ways your local electric co-op has worked to meet the needs of the community in the past, and even more as we face significant change driven by technology and innovation, moving into the future.

Last month, you should have received an Annual Meeting invitation and registration card in the mail. Be sure to bring that registration card with you to the meeting. It will serve as your entry for the prize drawings held at the end of the meeting. The grand prize is an electric bill credit for $1,000. We will also have other prizes for several hundred dollars worth of bill credits.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can return your registration card back to the office by 4 p.m., April 9 to be entered in the early bird prize drawing. (Note: Members cannot enter both the early bird and on-site drawings.)

Before the meeting, you can play BINGO for a chance to win one of many $5 cash prizes. During the business meeting, you’ll hear about the many local organizations, groups and schools Dubois REC supported through our Operation Round Up program. We go over the financial highlights of your electric co-op and introduce the three students representing Dubois REC at Camp Kilowatt this summer. More details about the meeting are published on page 7.

Read next month’s Indiana Connection for a summary of the business meeting and a list of the prize winners.
