We live in a device-driven world. Our smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other connected tools help us communicate every day. Companies spend billions pushing out a steady drumbeat of messages, and we’re constantly bombarded with one-way communication. But is anyone truly listening on the other end?
At Southern Indiana Power, we are not only listening, but we are also eager to hear from you. Whether you respond to a survey or social media post, send an email, or simply stop by and chat in person, we thrive on your feedback. Connecting with you helps us keep informed about our community’s priorities and needs.
As a cooperative, we have a different way of operating. Southern Indiana Power exists to provide safe, reliable, and affordable energy to you, the co-op members. Equally important is our mission to improve the lives of the members we serve. We hope you will consider us more than your energy provider, but instead, as a local business that supports this community and powers economic development and prosperity for all. Our ongoing fiber partnership with PSC Fiber is an example of how we continue to work to expand opportunities and connectivity for our members.
We occasionally conduct surveys to gather feedback for planning new initiatives, technical upgrades, and improvements to existing co-op programs and services. Our planning is led by local members like you, who understand the community’s needs and are committed to the long-term interests of the larger community.
We are in the midst of significant changes in the energy sector, as technology and data centers are impacting long-term planning. We will be navigating these complex issues in the years to come. This is why it’s important that we hear from you and other community members as we chart our course for the future.
Southern Indiana Power seeks to listen to our members about their priorities so that we can better serve you — because your electric co-op was built by the community, for the community. We can only improve, adapt, and effectively plan for the future if we have two-way communication with you.
For our co-op and community to thrive now and in the future, we depend on your input. I hope you will connect with us and share your perspective. You can always reach me at the cooperative by phone, email, or simply by stopping by for a visit. I am always available to listen.
