Youth Tour

Brandon Collier, Jessica James, Gregory Jekel, Kenzie Knight and Tyler Upton represented Clark County REMC on the 2018 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., this June. The Indiana delegation of 100 students representing 34 Indiana electric cooperatives joined more than 1,800 other students from 46 other states on the Youth Tour.

Clark County REMC is pleased to be able to provide this opportunity for our local youth. Amber Bowman, digital communications specialist at the REMC, served as a chaperone.

Students visited several museums and monuments during the week-long trip. Delegates also spent a day on Capitol Hill where they met with members of Indiana’s congressional delegation.

Clark County REMC was proud to send five students to Touchstone Energy Camp.

Touchstone Energy Camp

For 16 years, Clark County REMC has sponsored soon-to-be seventh grade students to attend Indiana’s Touchstone Energy Camp. This camp offers the traditional outdoor camp activities, alongside electrical safety and cooperative business education. Students representing the cooperative this year were Colin Kruer, Isaac Lewis, Dimitar Slavov, Jacie Whitmer and Daniel Yoo. Jamie Carver, credit and collections specialist at the REMC, served as a chaperone.
