tecampclimbDo you know what you want to be when you grow up?

Consider a career in the energy field! Gov. Mitch Daniels has declared Oct. 17-21 “Careers in Energy Week.” Your local electric cooperative may be a place you’d like to work when you get older.

Many times what you do in the future is based on what you like to do now. Ask yourself these questions and see what electric co-op careers might work for you.

Do you like:

  • Being outdoors?
  • Climbing trees?
  • Challenging yourself physically?

If so, you might make a good lineworker.

Are you:

  • Good at math?
  • Organized?
  • Patient?

If so, you might be a good electric co-op accountant.

Do you like to:

  • Help others?
  • Plan and organize events?
  • Talk to and in front of people?

If so, you might be a good electric co-op member services representative.

Do you like:

  • Science and math class?
  • To play with Legos?
  • To try to fix things if they are broken?

If so, you might grow up to be an electric co-op engineer.
