Celebrating our youth

This year’s scholarship recipients show how successful our students are across our service territory. Noble REMC is proud to be able to invest in the future of these three students who have worked hard to earn this award and others like it for their secondary education.

Congratulations to the following seniors who earned $1,000 scholarships from the co-op for their contributions and dedication at school and in the community — Grant Lake, Lucy Laur, and Evan Rodriguez!

To be eligible, recipients’ parents or guardians must be a member of Noble REMC. Candidates were judged anonymously based on their academic achievements and a short autobiography, as well as their involvement at school and in the community.

GRANT LAKE from Central Noble High School will be attending Universal Technical Institute in his pursuit to learn more about diesel and industrial technology before beginning his career as a fleet mechanic. He is the son of Chris and Sara Lake of Albion.

LUCY LAUR from East Noble High School will be heading to Indiana University Fort Wayne to study biology and nursing. Ultimately, she would like to earn her master’s degree to become a CRNA. She is the daughter of Timothy and Lisa Laur of Avilla.

EVAN RODRIGUEZ from West Noble High School will also be attending Indiana University Fort Wayne to earn his bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, with a goal to work as part of a collaborative and efficient dental team. He is the son of Eliud and Elida Rodriguez of Cromwell.
