


LaGrange County REMC is proud to announce the recipients of our 2025 scholarships. We awarded three $1,000 scholarships to help students in our community further their education. To be eligible, the recipients parents or guardians must be members of LaGrange County REMC. Candidates were judged based on grade point average, a short autobiography, and letters of recommendation, as well as their involvement at school and in the community.
CAMERON ALLESHOUSE is a graduate of Lakeland High School and will be attending Indiana University – Fort Wayne in the fall to major in medical imaging. Her career goal is to help other healthcare fields determine a diagnosis. I want to be able to help locate problems within the body, Alleshouse said. She is the daughter of Brian and JoAnn Alleshouse of Howe.
BRIANA POE is a graduate of Lakeland High School and will be attending Harding University in the fall to major in nursing with a minor in marketing. Her career goal is to work at a childrens hospital or on a pediatric floor of a hospital. She wants to use her minor to assist the organization she works for. I hope to move back to Indiana after school and work at a childrens hospital, Poe said.
She is the daughter of Wayne and Donna Poe of LaGrange.
KAMDEN YODER is a graduate of Westview High School and plans to attend Purdue University in the fall and major in aerospace and mechanical engineering. His career goal is to work as an aerospace engineer for NASA or the Department of Defense. I plan to return to Northeast Indiana to establish a long-term career, Yoder said. He is the son of Mark and Katie Yoder of LaGrange.
Congratulations to this years recipients! We also want to thank the number of seniors who applied for these scholarships. It appears we have some really outstanding students in our community!
