It’s amazing what we learn by listening. Listening improves understanding, builds trust, strengthens relationships and fosters cooperation. It’s also crucial to collaboration and success.

We listened when you said you needed up-to-date, accurate information, both at home and on the go. So now members have a mobile app, SmartHub, enabling them receive near real-time updates on energy use, plus many other things. REMC members are using the app to conduct routine business with us, like online bill payments, arranging service transfers, and viewing outage updates. More than 6,500 members use the SmartHub mobile app and website each month.

We also listened when you asked for help controlling your energy costs. That’s why we communicate with you about energy prices and ways we can work together to help ease the burdens on your wallet. Clark County REMC also offers a time-of-use program designed to help avoid high-cost energy by reducing overall demand during peak use periods. About 850 members save money and energy in this program. So if you haven’t signed up, ask us about it — we’re ready to listen.

Even with great technology, nothing beats face to face time with our members. Our annual meeting is a social event for our whole co-op family. We hope you’ll make plans now to join us on April 6 at Silver Creek High School for an evening of co-op business, fun and prizes.

So how can we serve you better in 2019? By listening, the same way many of us try to better serve our community, society and family each day. In our office, on the phone, through social media and in our face-to-face meetings, we’re ready to listen.

When you have questions about energy efficiency, electrical safety or any of our products or services, just ask us. When we know just what you want, we’re in a better position to deliver successful results. So, drop in and see us. We’re always glad to hear from you.
