Gary Waninger, Incumbent
Gary Waninger and his wife, Jackie, live near Fulda in Harrison Township.
With two of his brothers, Waninger farms approximately 800 acres and raises corn, soybeans, hay, and wheat. They also have a cattle operation.
Waninger is a director and agent with St. Joseph Mutual Home Insurance Company. He is a member of the National Farmers Organization, Sons of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and the Fulda Sportsman’s Club. He also serves on the Operation Round Up® board of trustees.
He has completed the NRECA director certification programs to become a Credentialec Cooperative Director (CCD), attain the Board Leadership Certificate (BLC), and receive the Director Gold certificate.
Waninger also serves as the cooperative’s Hoosier Energy director.
He and his family attend St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda.

Dirk Stein, Incumbent

Dirk Stein and his wife, Roxanna, live near Evanston in Spencer County. They have two grown children, Justin and Cody.
A graduate of Oakland City College with a degree in auto/diesel technology, Stein is owner/operator of Stein Turkey Farm LLC.
He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Stein has completed the NRECA director certification program to become a Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD).
Jamie Shinabarger, Candidate

Jamie Shinabarger and his wife, Catherine, live near Grandview in Hammond Township. They have five daughters — all married with families — and 10 grandchildren.
Shinabarger is a 1979 graduate of Taylor University with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He graduated in 2000 from Indiana Wesleyan with an MBA degree.
He has over 40 years of bank and financial services experience, most recently retiring in 2024 as president and CEO of Springs Valley Bank and Trust Company in Jasper with over 15 years of service. He is a board member of Springs Valley Bank and serves as a director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis where he is vice chair of the audit committee and a member of the IT/Technology and HR/Compensation committees. He and his wife are members of True Vine Baptist Church in Ferdinand. Shinabarger serves on the board of the recently opened Spencer County Trotter House in Reo. He is also treasurer of the Grandview Civic Center.
