What is the facility charge on my bill?

The facility charge is a flat fee that allows us to collect the money it takes to maintain and upgrade over 1,200 miles of line and all equipment, substations, and poles required to get power to your homes and businesses. These funds also ensure that your cooperative has employees, programs, and services that benefit the members.

What is the energy cost tracker on my bill?

The easiest explanation is, “It’s a billing adjustment to cover the fluctuating cost of power that we purchase on your behalf.”

The cost of the power we buy daily to sell to you fluctuates constantly. The energy cost tracker allows us to keep our base rates low at all times but still collect the money we will owe for the purchased power.

The good news is that you can directly affect the energy cost tracker on your bill. It is directly proportional to your kilowatt-hour use each month. Hidden #35428001. It is not a flat fee. If you have space heaters running in December or have your pool running in June, your tracker cost will be higher. If you conserve energy, your energy cost tracker will go down.
