October is a favorite month for so many people, as fall brings cooler weather, the changing of the leaves, and simple favorites like pumpkin-spiced drinks. October is a favorite month at Clark County REMC for a different reason: It’s Co-op Month! And for 2021, I’m excited to share some big news.

First, we will again support our local food banks through our holiday food drive. Any REMC member can bring six canned food or non-perishable items to our office during normal business hours in exchange for a free energy kit, valued at $25. If our office is closed due to COVID, you can pick up your energy kit in the drive-through.

Also for Co-op Month, we are sponsoring another REMC day at Chiller’s in Sellersburg. Stop by Chiller’s on Friday, Oct. 22, and receive 30% off your purchase, paid for by us!

But the biggest news I get to share with you is that REMC is getting a new look. Since the 1990s we’ve had the same green logo, using “The REMC” as our brand and website. Your board of directors knew that it was time for a change, so after months of ideas and testing, our new brand is finished. You can see our new logo below.

Our new website is ClarkREMC.coop. We love the fresh, new look, and including co-op as part of our website name is a great reminder that we aren’t just an average electric company. We are an electric cooperative, owned by you, the members we are proud to serve.
