A 3,648 panel solar array sits along State Road 3 southeast of LaOtto. The array is served by Noble REMC.

It’s hard to miss with its 3,648 solar panels covering six acres east of State Road 3 in LaOtto. And, you’ve most likely seen it on your way to or from Fort Wayne and wondered who it belonged to or how the electricity would be used.

Situated on Noble REMC lines, the one-megawatt solar array was constructed in partnership with Wabash Valley Power, our wholesale power provider, as the next piece of its Co-op Solar program. The solar energy generated will be used by regional electric cooperatives who receive power from Wabash Valley Power for its members who choose to participate in the Co-op Solar program. This includes multiple northeast Indiana REMCs: Noble, LaGrange County and Steuben County.

This is another example of Noble REMC and Wabash Valley Power giving you, our members, the option to decide where your power comes from.
