Local nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for the next round of Operation Round Up grants. The upcoming application deadline is Sept. 1.
Since 1997, Operation Round Up has provided funding to support organizations serving the Bartholomew County REMC service area. The program is overseen by the Bartholomew REMC Membership Community Trust, Inc., and is made possible by the generosity of BCREMC members.
Operation Round Up is a voluntary program that allows members to round up their electric bill to the nearest dollar. Those extra cents — just pennies each month — add up to meaningful support for local needs. Grants have helped fund everything from medical supplies and food assistance to educational programs for both children and adults.
Who should apply?
Not-for-profit organizations serving our local community are encouraged to submit a grant request.
How it works:
- Members enroll in Operation Round Up online or by phone
- Monthly electric bills are rounded up to the nearest dollar
- The rounded-up funds are placed into a dedicated account
- A board of local trustees reviews applications each quarter
- Grants are awarded to selected organizations
If your organization is making a difference in our community, we encourage you to apply.
