Apply for the BCREMC scholarship

Applications are being accepted for the Bartholomew County REMC scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the Heritage Fund — the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County. The fund was established in recognition of educational values Bartholomew County REMC upholds. BCREMC hopes to enhance the lives of its recipients by assisting them in their educational achievements.

The scholarship fund will award a total of $3,000 for the 2018-19 academic year. Scholarship applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Bartholomew County or member of any Bartholomew County REMC household from Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties. 
  • Plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in pursuit of a technical certificate, associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
  • Have a high school or college GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or a 5.0 GPA on a 12.0 scale. Academics, community involvement and school activities will be considered.

The Bartholomew County REMC scholarships can be applied for as part of the combined application. All applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11.
