Page Day

Page Day gives students an opportunity to see the Indiana Legislature in action. Highlights include touring the governor’s office and the Statehouse. Participants will also meet and have their pictures taken with their state legislators. The program is open to high school students. Students must have reliable transportation to and from the Indiana Statehouse. The program is open to high school students. Please confirm with school administrators, but Page Day is considered an excused absence in most instances.

Visit iga.in.gov/legislative/find-legislators to find your legislator. Visit indianaec.org/?p=287 to apply and submit your application. Apply to attend one of the following dates: Jan. 23 (House), Feb. 1 (Senate) or Feb. 20 (House).

Touchstone Energy Camp

Touchstone Energy® Camp is a fun and unique camp experience for students entering seventh grade. The camp takes place in early June and gives kids a chance to learn more about energy while making new friends and enjoying lots of activities and games.

This three-day camp includes many activities, including horseback riding, electric cooperative education, rock climbing, swimming and more.

Touchstone Energy Camp will be held June 7–10. Applications can be found on the Marshall County REMC website at www.marshallremc.com under the community tab.

Indiana youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

During the month of June, Indiana’s electric cooperatives sponsor an unforgettable educational adventure to Gettysburg and Washington, D.C., for students entering their senior year of high school. This seven-day trip includes visits with Indiana’s Congressional leaders on Capitol Hill and a rally with more than 1,600 student delegates from across the country. The Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. will be held June 8-15. Applications can be found on the Marshall County REMC website at www.marshallremc.com under the community tab.
