We appreciate and share the pride and patriotism our members show throughout our communities. Recently, we’ve noticed an increased number of flags displayed on electrical poles in several areas throughout the county. While we appreciate the spirit behind these displays, we kindly ask that flags and other items not be attached to Marshall County REMC poles, as doing so creates safety concerns for both the public and our lineworkers and is not consistent with proper flag etiquette.

We encourage everyone to continue showing their patriotism by displaying flags at homes, businesses and other appropriate locations. Thank you for helping us keep our electric system safe while honoring our shared pride in our country and community.
