Southern Indiana Power is pleased to welcome two high school interns for the 2024-2025 school year. These internships provide students with valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience while learning more about the cooperative difference. The program also reflects two of the Seven Cooperative Principles: #5, Education, Training and Information, and #7, Concern for Community.

Wick Craney, a senior at Perry Central High School, is serving as a lineman intern. He is the son of Josh and Krystal Craney of Dexter. Craney participates in basketball at Perry Central, and in his free time, he enjoys hunting and spending time in the woods. Through his internship, he will gain practical experience in line maintenance and construction, preparing him with skills that can benefit his future and our community.

Jack Hammond, a senior at Tell City High School, is a marketing and communications intern. He is the son of Todd and Jaime Hammond of Rocky Point. Hammond is involved in football and baseball and enjoys spending time on the river. His internship will provide hands-on learning in communications, member engagement, and the cooperative business model while also connecting him with opportunities to serve the community.

Southern Indiana Power is proud to support these students as they explore potential career paths and develop skills for the future. Their internships embody our cooperative commitment to education and community, and we are excited to have them both on our team this school year.
