Kids can try their hand at the Tike Track set up at Roberts Farms Fall Fun on the Farm.

What better way to take advantage of the cooling weather than to visit a local pumpkin patch, corn maze or maybe even a spooky haunted house?

You dont have to travel far. Noble REMC is fortunate to serve electricity to options across our service territory, so we thought we would give you a start with some great local businesses bringing fall festivities to you:

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Fall Fun on the Farm at Roberts Farm

Where: 2085 W 900 North, Wawaka

When: Open until Oct. 26. Activity hours are Saturdays: 12-8 p.m.; Sundays: 12-6 p.m. Pumpkin Patch hours are Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m.

What do they have? These first-generation farmers provide a place for families to make fall memories and learn about agriculture. Visitors can enjoy barrel train and hay wagon rides, a corn maze and corn box, petting zoo, straw tower, inflatables and more.

Cost: $12 per person (2 and under is free)

The Amazing Maze and Pumpkin Patch at Trowbridge Farms

Where: 5386 N 500 East, Kendallville

When: Open until Nov. 2 on Fridays: 6-11 p.m.; Saturdays: 2-11 p.m.; Sundays: 2-9 p.m.

What do they have? The 147-acre farm has provided this family friendly experience since 2002. Activities include everything from pumpkin patches and corn mazes to wagon rides, farm animals, inflatables and more.

Cost: $10 per person (3 and under is free)

FUN FOR A FRIGHT

Green Center Haunted School House

Where: 2768 E 300 South, Albion

When: Beginning Oct. 10, open 7-11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in October.

What is it? It was once a place of learning, now a place for screaming. All ages are welcome at this haunted house, but you do have to crawl, climb, slide and squeeze your way through tight spaces and navigate blackout areas.

Cost: $12 per person

FUN FOR YOUNGSTERS

Young ones can learn about their favorite creatures during the Enchanted Forest at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.

Enchanted Forest at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College

Where: 2152 S 425 West, Albion (at the Farmstead)

When: Oct. 17-18 from 7-8: 30 p.m.

What is it? Merry Lea provides an hour-long enchanted night hike where a trail guide will lead groups by lantern light to meet live animals on its trails. The creatures (costumed staff and volunteers) will tell visitors about their diets, habits and favorite places.

Cost: $5 per person (2 and under are free), includes snacks and hot cocoa, cash preferred
