This years Indiana Electric Cooperative Lineman Rodeo was one to remember! Over two days of competition, our crews put their skills, training, and teamwork to the test. Representing Clark County REMC were:
- Team 1: Jerry Applegate, Bryce Gentry, and Liam McBride
- Team 2: Harley Applegate, Wyatt Binkley, and Bo Simpson
- Team 3: Nathan Clayton, Jacob Pierce, and Trace Strouse
Performance is judged first and foremost on working safely and doing the job the right way without cutting corners. Then, if multiple teams tie, the faster team wins. When the dust settled, Clark brought home a lot of hardware:
- First Place Overall (Team 2)
- Third Place Overall (Team 3)
- First Place Underarm Switch Change (Team 2)
- Third Place Mystery Event (Team 2)
Clark County REMC has brought home the First Place Overall Team title three of the last four years!
Way to represent your co-op and your community, linemen. You make us proud at the rodeo and every single day.
2025 Lineman Rodeo – Individuals
Day two featured the individual competitions, and were so proud of our linemen, Jerry Applegate and Bryce Gentry, who stepped up to represent Clark County REMC.
Applegate brought home some hardware with a third-place finish in the Skill Climb!
Both linemen showed incredible dedication, professionalism, and most importantly, a commitment to safety. Were proud to have you represent our co-op at the rodeo and every single day on the job.
