Steuben County REMC awards Operation Round Up grants

As your co-op, we are empowered to do more for our community. Steuben County REMC members recently awarded funds to five local organizations through the Operation Round Up program. The average contribution by a member per year is $6, with a maximum contribution of $11.88. These pennies, donated by members like you, add up to significantly impact our local community.

The Steuben County REMC Operation Round Up program is accepting grant applications. The next due date is Sept. 26.

This fund benefits the local community and focuses on economic development. Some funded projects include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement of Steuben County, and local food banks and youth programs.

501(c)(3) organizations can apply at steubenfoundation. org and access the grant portal by selecting Apply and then Grants at the top of the page.

  • The Nature Conservancy: Douglas Woods Nature Preserve for creating a Nature-Based Destination in Northeast Indiana
  • Elijah Haven Crisis Intervention Center for abuse Intervention Program
  • Hendry Park Elementary PTO Inc.: Hendry Park PTO Field Trip Sponsorship Program for helping Every Student Explore Beyond the Classroom
  • Salem Center Volunteer Fire Department for thermal imager and water valve
  • Haven Hills Therapy Center for Haven Hills Therapy Centers Creation Cabin Interior
