To keep you informed of your cooperatives operations and activities, the following are highlights of the July 30 board meeting.
1. All directors were present, as were CEO Steve Seibert, Administrative Assistant Lisa Hinton, Manager of Engineering Todd Hammond, and Manager of Finance Accounting Amy Ramsey.
2. The June 26,2025, board meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
3. The vouchers were reviewed and approved.
4. The directors reports were reviewed and approved.
5. Hammond presented an update on the engineering department.
6. Seibert provided an update on the FTTH/broadband project with PSC.
7. Ramsey reviewed the IRS Form 990 with the board.
8. The CEO report was given, with Seibert reporting on the following items:
- Reviewed a pole attachment request
- Review of an office construction project
- Provided a margin recovery update and recommendations
- Updated on the GIS project
- Provided a NRTC patronage report
- Discussed a RE Magazine article
- Reported the following meeting dates: IEC Linemans Rodeo Aug. 21-22, retiree luncheon Aug. 26, NRECA Regional Meeting Sept. 3-5, and IEC DC Fly-In Sept. 16.
9. Robert White, safety and risk management instructor with IEC, conducted bucket truck rescue, emergency mayday procedures, and pole top rescue training on July 16. Seibert advised there was one lost time accident and one public liability claim to report.
10. CEO and board evaluation forms were distributed.
11. A Wage Salary Committee Meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 21.
12. Seibert and directors Randy Kleaving and Gary Waninger reported on an Annual Meeting Committee Meeting held July 22.
13. Director Waninger and Seibert reported on the CFC Forum held June 30-July 2.
14. Waninger reported on the Hoosier Energy board meeting held July 14.
15. Kleaving reported on the IEC Director Retreat held July 25-26.
16. The next regularly scheduled board of directors meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 27.
