Starting this month, you may notice something different about us — not how we serve you, but how we represent ourselves.
We have rebranded and are now officially Boone Power!
While our name is new, our purpose remains the same: delivering safe, reliable electricity to the homes, farms, and businesses in the greater Boone County area. This rebrand reflects the evolution of our cooperative. It’s not a change in ownership or service, but a renewed commitment to our members and a fresh focus on our future.
Why the change?
We’ve proudly served this community as Boone REMC for decades. But as we grow to meet the demands of the future, including with the construction of our new headquarters, now is the right time to embrace a name that speaks more clearly to who we are and what we do.
“Power” is our promise. It’s what we deliver, but also what we believe in: the power of cooperative membership (learn more about what that means on page 8), of progress, and people working together.
Watch us grow
Our new name and logo have started showing up this month in places like your bill, SmartHub, and the magazine. Look for it soon on our trucks, in the community, and outside our new facility over the next several months.
Special thanks to the members who participated in last fall’s focus groups; your insights helped power this rebrand from the very start. Boone Power is proud to serve you and grow alongside the communities we power every day.
Designed with meaning
Our new logo is more than a fresh look. It’s a symbol of our identity:
- The forward-leaning angle of the logo suggests motion, momentum, and growth. This reflects the fact that we are future-focused and embracing innovation as we grow along with our membership.
- The bolt in the “O” symbolizes electricity, the product we deliver.
- The word “Power” is stacked directly beneath the “one” in Boone. This is a nod to our history as the first electric distribution cooperative in Indiana, and a reminder that our members are always No. 1. We exist to serve our members.
Colors that reflect our story

We’ve updated our color palette, too, blending legacy with new energy:
Green remains our foundation. It’s trusted, familiar, and rooted in our rural legacy.
Blues add a sense of professionalism and stability.
Orange offers a bold spark, representing optimism and a bright future.
Our brand may look different, but what hasn’t changed is who we work for — you, our members.
