When a storm hits and the power goes out, look to your phone for more information.

LaGrange County REMC’s outage map is now available on any mobile device by visiting outages.lagrangeremc.com.

Accessing the site on a phone or tablet will bring up the map, similar to the one you see on a desktop computer. It will indicate the area of an outage with a colored circle or polygon. Tap the shape for a quick summary of the outage, or click the black bar across the top of the screen for a legend of the color’s meaning.

For details on how many are affected and where, touch the plus sign at the top right of the screen, and choose “Details.” This will bring you to an “Outage Details” screen, which will display the number of total members and the number affected. Hit the blue right arrow at the top once to go to a screen breaking down the number of members per county, and if you hit the blue arrow once more, it will break down the total number of members affected by the outage according to county.

When you return to the map on the home screen, use the plus and minus sign in the top left corner to zoom in and out of our service area. If you hit the bulls-eye located in the same area, the map will zoom in as far as it can to your exact location to show outages directly around you.

The map refreshes every two minutes to assure LaGrange County REMC members have the most recent and relevant information regarding their power.
