Labor Day closing

Steuben County REMC will be closed on Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day, which “constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country,” according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Thank you to the hard-working employees of Steuben County REMC that keep our members’ homes and businesses running smoothly each and every day!

Operation Round Up grants awarded

Following the second quarter of 2017, the Operation Round Up board of advisors is happy to report that several local organizations received funding for community projects around Steuben County. These grantees include:

  • Steuben County Council on Aging for its exercise program
  • Steuben Mobile Meals for the 2017-2018 Mobile Meals program
  • Women in Transition for hazard repairs

We are happy to provide support and encouragement to these worthy individuals and organizations. Without the efforts of these willing volunteers and organizers, these communities would not thrive and grow as they have. Thank you for your continued work to provide for our local citizens.
