LaGrange County REMC employees got a head start on Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day, which will be held on Oct. 9. The annual event provides an opportunity for Indiana’s electric cooperatives to work collectively toward making a positive impact on our great state.

LaGrange County REMC employees were able to help pack meals for Meals From Michiana working with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at the Michiana Event Center (MEC) in Shipshewana in August. Twenty-five employees packed meals of MannaPack Rice.

As FMSC’s first and original food formula, MannaPack Rice is an excellent source of protein, carbohydrates and key nutrients culturally acceptable worldwide for anyone over the age of one. REMC employees joined over 2,500 other community members who altogether packed over 800,000 meals during the multi-day event.
