What may only be pennies for each member becomes something extraordinary when combined. Since the Operation Round Up program began in January 2002, more than $773,000 has been invested back into our community, supporting local organizations that improve lives every day. From programs that inspire and empower youth, to services that care for seniors, assist young families, and provide resources for those in need, these contributions are making a meaningful difference across every generation.

Together, we’re proving that small gifts, shared by many, have the power to build a stronger, more caring community. Thank you to every member who chooses to round up and be part of this incredible impact.

The following organizations received Operation Round Up funds: 

Reason 4 Hope was awarded $2,500 to go towards its Bus Stop Events where they will hand out nearly 700 backpacks, school supplies, and other needed items to students in need.

LaGrange County Parks Department received $2,500 to help with improvements at Dallas Lake Park. The department is planning an expansion of the existing playground and the installation of two new pickleball courts.

Stroh Volunteer Fire Department was granted $2,156 to purchase a Classic Husky portable folding frame water tank. Folding frame water tanks are collapsible open top reservoirs used to provide portable water storage in rural areas. 

Howe Community Association was awarded $2,500 to replace the merry go round and broken swings at the playground in Ontario Park. That money will also pay a portion of the cost of repairing some other equipment at the park.

Local, nonprofit organizations seeking funding for a project, can fill out and return an application to the LaGrange County REMC office by Thursday, Oct. 1, to be considered for the next round of Operation Round Up disbursements.
