LaGrange County REMC is proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 scholarships. The cooperative awarded three $1,000 scholarships to help students in our community further their education.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the recipients’ parents or guardians must be members of LaGrange County REMC. Candidates were judged based on grade point average, a short autobiography, letters of recommendation, as well as their involvement at school and in the community.
Levi Cook is a graduate of Lakeland High School and will attend Glen Oaks Community College to major in engineering and play baseball. “Through school, athletics, church, and our family farm, I have experienced firsthand how supportive and invested this community is in its young people” Cook said. He is the son of Peter and Erica Cook of Wolcottville.
Hunter Egli is a graduate of Westview High School and will attend Bethel University to major in civil engineering. His career goal is to graduate college and work at an architectural firm. “I’d like to run my own architecture business,” Egli said. He is the son of JJ and Stacey Egli of Topeka.
Brett Springer is a graduate of Westview High School and will be attending Grove City College in the fall, major in biochemistry and will participate on its golf team. His career goal is to become a doctor. “I want to serve others in the medical field to save and improve people’s lives in a beneficial way,” Springer said. Springer also recently acquired his pilot’s license. He is the son of Ross and Amy Springer of Millersburg.
