Each year, as part of our director election and business meeting, we award post-secondary educational scholarships and draw one grand-prize winner from among all members who participated in the annual governance process.
Scholarship recipients
Sara Bostwick of Zionsville will attend Purdue University to study biology and Spanish. Her long-term goal is to attend optometry school.
Anastasia Durell of Whitestown is attending Hope College and plans to start a pet boarding business after completing her education. She also hopes to continue practicing falconry and developing her photography skills.
Soren Johnson of Zionsville plans to study civil engineering along with business management or entrepreneurship. His goal is to one day manage his own civil engineering firm while continuing his passion for cross country at the collegiate level.
Sarah Keller of Zionsville is attending Grace College and working toward certification as a CT technologist. She hopes to use her career in healthcare to help others through hospital work.
Kennedy Merrell of Zionsville is completing her degree in kinesiology at Indiana State University and plans to continue to graduate school in exercise science. She hopes to become a strength and conditioning coach, continue coaching pole vault, and eventually open her own training business focused on both athletic and mental wellness.
Victoria Patellos of Zionsville is pursuing a master’s degree in teaching English as a second language at the University of Illinois. She hopes to become an educator and eventually teach English abroad, helping students gain skills that open doors to future opportunities.
Ava Scheerer of Lebanon is attending Vet Tech Institute and plans to become a veterinary technician. She looks forward to helping families care for their animals every day through her future career.
Ava St John of Zionsville is attending Indiana University and exploring a career focused on helping children and young people succeed. She hopes to make a meaningful impact by supporting others’ growth, development, and confidence.
Allie Stump of Zionsville plans to pursue higher education to prepare her for a successful professional career. She also hopes to continue making a positive impact in her community through volunteer service.
Chayleigh Swartz of Lebanon is studying pharmaceutical sciences at Purdue University and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical or medical research. Her work focuses on advancing treatments for neurological disorders through pharmacogenomics and precision medicine research.
