At Heartland REMC, we believe in powering more than homes — we believe in powering futures. One meaningful way we support the communities we serve is through our annual scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to local students pursuing higher education.

Each year, Heartland REMC offers 20 $500 scholarships to qualifying students. To qualify, students must be enrolled as a full time student planning to attend college, a two year or four year institution, or a technical school within the next year. Applicants — or their parents/guardians — must be Heartland REMC members, and their primary residence must be served by Heartland REMC lines. Prior scholarship winners are not eligible to reapply.

Submitting an application is easy. Visit heartlandremc.com/youth-programs and fill out the online form by June 1. Winners are selected by random drawing, and their names are announced at the cooperative’s Annual Meeting in June.
