As we begin a new year together, I would like to take a moment to recognize one of the most exciting developments at Heartland REMC in 2025 — our growing team. Over the past year, we’ve welcomed seven new employees, each bringing unique skills, passion, and a shared commitment to serving our members with excellence.

Adding new team members isn’t just about filling roles; it’s about building the future of our cooperative. As Heartland REMC continues to grow and evolve, so does our need for dedicated people who understand what it means to work for a cooperative that puts people first.

We’re proud to welcome:

  • Nicole Carter and Wendy Trosper joined our front-line staff as Consumer Services Representatives. If you have called or visited the office lately, you may have already experienced their friendly and helpful service firsthand.
  • Evan Lochner and Luke Hill both joined as Apprentice Linemen after they completed their internships with us. These apprentices are training alongside our experienced journeymen linemen and are part of the next generation committed to keeping your power safe and reliable.
  • Bart Mitchell came on board as our Accounting Manager. With a strong eye for detail and accuracy, Mitchell is a welcome addition to the management team.
  • Tyler Carroll, who joined us as our Lead Member Services Representative, is helping guide our members both on the phone and in person.
  • Levi Sell, our new System Administrator, works behind the scenes every day to protect our data and support the technology that powers both our office and our field operations.

Each of these individuals contributes in their own way to our mission — and we’re thrilled to have them on board.

To our members: thank you for welcoming these new faces and continuing to support the Heartland REMC team. Our strength comes from the people who serve you — and we’re stronger than ever heading into 2026.
