Thank you to our friends from the Plymouth Line at NIPSCO for a touching show of solidarity that warmed our hearts at Marshall County REMC.
In early October, NIPSCO Lineman Aaron Brenneman stopped by our office to extend support to one of our own: Lineman John Yates. Earlier this year, John lost his wife, Erin, to breast cancer a loss that no one should ever face.
Brenneman arrived bearing a special gift: a custom pink hard hat, handmade just for Yates. Adorned with a breast cancer awareness emblem and an etched silhouette of a lineman in action, it was more than a helmet it was a symbol of shared strength and empathy.
Having endured his own close brush with the effects of breast cancer, Brenneman crafted the hard hat himself as a personal act of kindness. Its a small gesture that resonated deeply and will never be forgotten.
In moments like these, were reminded that true compassion knows no boundaries. Though we operate as different companies with distinct models, were bound by the same calling. Our linemen teams at Marshall County REMC and NIPSCO roll up their sleeves day in and day out for the vital work that keeps communities powered, forging an unbreakable bond in the process.
To everyone touched by breast cancer, in ways big or small, we hold you close. May love, light, and unyielding resilience carry you forward.
