As the days grow shorter and the season of Thanksgiving approaches, Im reminded how much we have to be grateful for here at Henry County REMC. Gratitude is more than a feeling. Its a reflection of who we are as a cooperative family. Every day,
I see thankfulness in action through the work we do, the principles we uphold, and the people we serve.
At HCREMC, were guided by seven cooperative principles that ensure we always put our members first. These principles define the cooperative difference. They remind us that our purpose isnt just to deliver electricity, but to provide reliable, safe, and cost-competitive electrical service to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve.
This month, Im especially thankful for the generosity of our members participating in our Operation Round Up program. By choosing to round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar, members collectively make a big difference in our community. Because of this generosity, we can fund six $1,000
scholarships each year for local high school seniors and help them pursue their dreams of higher education. These scholarships reflect two of our core cooperative principles: Education, Training, and Information, and Concern for Community. Applications for our 2026 scholarships are now open, and you can find more details in this issue of Indiana Connection.
As we reflect on the blessings of this season, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to each of you, our members, employees, and board members.
You are the heart of Henry County REMC. Together, we embody what it means to be a cooperative: neighbors helping neighbors, working for the common good, and strengthening our communities.
May your Thanksgiving season be filled with warmth, gratitude, and joy.
