Have you ever considered playing a direct role in shaping the future of Bartholomew County REMC? Every year, BCREMC members elect dedicated individuals to serve on the board of directors and the nominating committee, ensuring that the cooperative remains focused on providing excellent service while maintaining a strong and competitive position in the energy industry.

Why serve on the board?

Board members are responsible for establishing, reviewing, and updating corporate policies that guide BCREMC. Directors make key decisions, including setting rate structures, with the ultimate goal of serving the interests of all members. Each director represents one of seven districts within BCREMCs service area and is committed to putting the cooperative and its members first.

Why serve on the nominating committee?

Nominating committee members play a critical role in the governance process. They identify and recruit candidates for the board of directors and the committee itself, oversee the election process, and count votes during the Annual Meeting. Their efforts ensure a fair and transparent election, giving all members a voice in leadership decisions.
