4-H students at Micro Farms

Marshall County 4-H Electric students had the opportunity to visit Micro Farms LLC in Nappanee. The students learned about growing and harvesting fresh produce using high-tech aeroponics/hydroponics. The students even went home with some delicious fresh veggies!

Micro Farms LLC delivers its locally grown produce to restaurants, retailers and consumers across the region. Employees harvest crops daily and provide a variety of fresh vegetables 365 days a year.

The produce is grown using sustainable methods and without the need for chemicals. Vegetables are harvested daily and are the highest quality. The farm offers several varieties of living green plants and superb vegetables to meet the demanding requirements of today’s consumer. They are a certified GLOBALG.A.P. producer.

A big thanks to Micro Farms LLC for giving us a tour of its facility!

Dion Graber, owner of Micro Farms LLC, educates the 4-H Electric students on how the farm uses hydroponics/aeroponics technology to successfully grow a variety of vegetables.
