The Marshall County 4-H Electric Program is successful thanks to our dedicated volunteer leaders. The REMC would like to thank one of those leaders for his 47 years of service to the 4-H Electric program. Nilas Miller served his last year as the division 4 leader after helping countless students get their projects ready for the 4-H Fair.

Miller was a union electrician when he was approached by Fred Wolff, a former member services manager, about being a leader for the 4-H Electric program. His experience as a union electrician and foreman made him the perfect candidate to teach students about wiring and the significance of electricity.

Miller taught lamps for many years, but also did home wiring. When asked what his favorite thing about being a leader was, he responded with “seeing the kids learn about wiring.”

Marshall County REMC would like to thank Miller for his 47 years of volunteerism to the REMC and the 4-H Electric program!
