As a member-owned cooperative, Bartholomew County REMC is committed to helping our members use energy more efficiently and save money. If you’ve upgraded your home’s HVAC system, heat pump, water heater, or purchased qualifying electric outdoor equipment, now is the time to take advantage of our current rebate program.

If you installed any new HVAC equipment or a heat pump water heater in 2025, please notify us by Dec. 15. Equipment installed in 2025 will not be eligible for rebates in 2026, so be sure to submit your rebate information before the deadline.

To apply, you will need to provide proof of purchase, along with the brand name, model number, and serial number of the equipment. Visit bcremc.com/incentives for a complete list of available rebates and to download the required forms.

In addition to co-op rebates, federal tax credits are also available for qualifying energy-efficient home improvements. Visit energystar.gov and search “tax credits” for detailed information. When filing your 2025 tax return, use IRS Form 5695 or consult your tax preparer to ensure you receive any applicable credits for energy-efficient upgrades or renewable additions to your home.
