POWER MOVES REBATES

Geothermal Rebate

Closed Loop

Close loop replacing: $1,500

  • Water to Air – EER ≥17.1 COP≥ 3.6 (electric resistance, fossil fuel, or new construction)      
  • Water to Water – EER≥16.1 COP≥3.1

Open Loop

Open loop replacing: $1,500

  • Water to Air – EER≥ 21.1 COP≥4.1 (electric resistance, fossil fuel, or new construction)      
  • Water to Water – EER≥20.1 COP≥3.5

New Construction: $1,500

  • Condenser and coil must be replaced and installed as a matching set

Air Source Heat Pump Rebate

Split System (with electric back-up) (Ducted)  

≥16 SEER

  • Replacing electric resistance: $750

≥9 HSPF (electric furnace, ceiling cable, or baseboard)

Electric back up only

  • Replacing fossil fuels: $750 (propane or fuel oil)
  • Condenser and coil must be replaced and installed as a matching set  

New system must heat and cool entire home

  • Replacing existing ASHP: $250

Ductless Air Source Heat Pump (Mini Split) (with Electric Back Up)

≥17 SEER

  • Replacing electric resistance: $300

≥9 HSPF (electric furnace, ceiling cable, or baseboard)

Electric back up only

  • Replacing fossil fuel: $300 (propane or fuel oil)
  • Condenser and coil must be replaced and installed as a matching set 

New system must heat and cool entire home

  • Replacing existing ASHP: $300

Dual Fuel Heat Pump Split System (Ducted) with Propane, Natural Gas, or Fuel Oil Back up

≥16 SEER

  • Replacing electric resistance: $500

≥9 HSPF (electric furnace, ceiling cable, or baseboard)

≥90 AFUE

  • Replacing natural gas, propane, or fuel oil furnace: $500
  • New Construction: $500

Heat Pump Water Heater

Minimum UEF of 2.0

  • Replacing Electric Resistance Tank: $400
  • New Contraction: $400

Variable Speed Pool Pump

Energy Star-Rated

  • Replacing existing single stage pool pump: $250

HEARTLAND REMC REBATES

*All Heartland REMC rebates will be applied as bill credits once they have been approved.

Geothermal

  • Rebate amount – $150 per ton 
  • Maximum payout is $750

This rebate applies when replacing any heating and cooling system listed below:

  • Electric resistance (electric furnace, ceiling cable, baseboard)
  • Fossil Fuel ( propane, natural gas, or fuel oil)
  • Replaced an older geothermal or air source heat pump
  • Newly constructed home

Air Source Heat Pump

  • Rebate amount – $125 per ton
  • Maximum payout is $625

This rebate applies when replacing any heating and cooling system listed below:

  • Electric resistance (electric furnace, ceiling cable, baseboard)
  • Fossil Fuel ( propane, natural gas, or fuel oil)
  • Replaced an older geothermal or air source heat pump
  • Newly constructed home

Electric Water Heater Rebate

  • Rebate amount – $100
  • When installing geothermal with additional water heaters:
    • $50 rebate for additional 50-gallon water heater

*Newly installed water heat must be 50 gallons or larger in order to qualify, and it must be replacing a water heater 10 years or older. Newly constructed home that have installed a 50 gallon water heater may also qualify for rebate.
